Travel agents and meeting planners can secure extra commission for meetings booked by Labor Day
RLH Corporation on May 24 announced a limited time increase in group commission to 11 percent on all meetings and events booked by Labor Day. RLH Corporation is committed to its meeting planner partners and the crucial relationship and business they bring. The increase in commission is part of a larger focus on increasing meetings and events business across all RLH Corporation hotels.
“This year we have seen a trend in the decrease of group commission rates,” said RLH Corporation Executive Vice President of Hotel Operations and Sales Harry Sladich. “We value the relationships we have built with meeting planners and travel agents and believe we have an opportunity to show our appreciation to this group by increasing their commission.”
The increased commission is available at all participating RLH Corporation hotels, across all brands, for meetings booked by September 3, 2018 and take place by December 31, 2019. The offer does not apply to pre-existing reservations.
“As we continue to grow our portfolio, we not only want meeting planners to take notice of our new booking options, but we also want them to hear loud and clear that RLH Corporation loves their partnership and believes meeting planners should continue to be rewarded for their contribution,” said RLH Corporation Senior Vice President and Chief of Revenue Optimization Calvin Anderson.
“The meeting planner is a very involved element to our business,” added Sladich. “We recognize that despite all of the automation in the industry, meetings and group travel still requires ample manual time. We are excited to be able to recognize our meeting planners and travel agents this summer and all of the hard work they put in each day.”
