Room with a vroom!

The V8 Hotel in Motorworld Stuttgart is any car lover’s dream.

The four star establishment was built inside the old Böblingen Airport, previously home to fighter aircrafts during the Second World War and also used as a docking station for German aircraft carriers.

The V8 has 34 rooms: four single rooms, 16 double rooms, two family rooms, a junior suite, the Mercedes suite, and the ten automotive themed double rooms. The “design” rooms are classically appointed and feature automotive art. And the nostalgiafueled “themed” rooms will situate guests in such settings as a drive-in theater or along the famous Route 66. The Mercedes Suite spans four floors and features a private rooftop terrace.

The city of Stuttgart is where Mercedes-Benz and Porsche are headquartered, and Motorworld is where classic cars are collected, sold, serviced, and repaired. Tour the Automobile Museum, visit the indoor children’s park, or even take a spin on a Harley Street Glide. There’s a beer garden and house brewery, steakhouse and gourmet Italian food. The spa offers relaxation via hot and cold therapy, and guests can take advantage of the workout room and massage offerings.

Guestrooms feature free Wi-Fi, flatscreen televisions, and complimentary coffee, tea, and mineral water. There’s even a meeting room for anyone who needs to take in a little work among all the opportunities for play. American Express Essentials lists The V8 Hotel as one of its Top 50 Bucket List experiences. We’re adding it to our own list as well.
